Moonfish® Variable Projection Camera Adapter
This camera adapter allows attachment of a camera body to telescopes for both prime-focus and eyepiece-projection photography.
It includes a sliding mechanism, permitting variable projection distances during eyepiece projection photography, avoiding the need to switch to higher power eyepieces when additional projection enlargement is desired. So, it is perfect for photography of the moon, planets and stars.
The adapter slides into the eyepiece holder as an eyepiece normally would. Two thumbscrews lock the sliding cell in position at the desired projection distance; a third thumbscrew locks the eyepiece in position.
The adapters are composed of two detachable parts:
A prime-focus adapter (or "T-adapter") for prime-focus photography, and
An extension tube for eyepiece-projection photography, with a set-screw that holds the eyepiece in place.
The adapters are compatible with 1.25" focusers. Each is precision made of black-anodized aluminum.
A T-ring, sold separately, is required to couple your specific camera body to this camera adapter.
